Was it the tires, riders, or suspension that made the Hondas crash all over the track?

Yikes, imagine seeing a 500lb motorcycle fly across your path 6 feet in the air.

i think they got the weight of 750 superbikes under 400lb by that time... 20% lighter blow ;)

BTW, did anybody hear the tune at 11:10? never knew it even existed! only read the ads in "Cycle" mag back then!

Wow, 400 is light for a gpz750. Even with stripping off most of the unnecessary bolt-ons, my 550 was 430lbs with fuel, and that's a much smaller motor. I don't think a starter and alternator would quite make 30 lbs.

well, its racers... everything not needed striped off

and rainey's was a works one, plenty of titanium in there, sure its was less 400.

my own current 750/810 racer is 370,

hoping to get the new 550/600 racer down to 320-330 (if i do build it).

I will need to shave off every possible gram!

You mean like the head, trans, cases, and crank from an 84? I needed the head, trans and maybe crank for a big tire bike, cases for mock up chassis work. Have everything left but the body work if your interested in parts. Clean Illinois title. Body work isn't sold but it is spoken for in my eyes. Guys been patient with me getting him pics, computer problems and still got em
