Well, this was good in theory; unfortunately not in practice. I needed a way to evacuate the air faster, the air conditioning filter wasn't doing it fast enough.

Every blasting cabinet Ive used has an exhaust fan. No matter how you do it, it will get messy lol. Pretty creative though.

Maybe set an old box fan in front of filter pulling air?

I definitely tried that... no dice. The entire right-hand side of the box had a dozen 3" holes cut in it and a HVAC air cleaner was duct taped to the side. I guess it was too restrictive - or maybe the air just NEEDS to be sucked out. I wonder what a Shop Vac breathing through another filter would do?

Shop vac works well, done that on mine but it takes a big vac for a big booth, mine is 30"X49"X36"deep

Evacuation isn't all that critical if you use the right media. A shop vac works perfect if you use real glass bead instead of the crushed glass or baking soda.

Real bead gets you finishes like this and you can see what you're blasting. I has to be little round balls of glass and not super fine either. 30/40 grit in combination with the right pressure and tip size will give you a nice finish.
