For any of you that have been shoping for a laser thermometer at Harbor Freight, and have been kinda squimish about the 59.99 price tag lately, they have come down substantially; the ad in their flyer this morning is for 27.99 with the coupon from the flyer good till I think January next yr : www.harborfreight.com/non-contact-laser-thermometer-96451.html

I bought one for the $27.99 too just to see how much hotter my 1105 runs then a stocker. I also use it to see what temp the cooling fan on my Buell Xb12 comes on. Its handy for checking cylider temps on the exhaust too on my Kawasakis

Ramtough I agree w/ ya! Frequently my Z1-B 900 sounds funny when I start it after its sat for several weeks, I use my Laser Therm and check to see which cyl. is not "LIT" (firing ),Have you ever noticed the different temps on the cycl's when yours is running on all 4? Wonder if this is significant?
In other words anyone ever decided what is acceptable as far as cyl temp differences as taken on header pipe? i.e. is 50deg or less no biggie? 75deg or more variance between hottest / coolest indicative of an A/F adjustment needed? Thanks!!
