The dial type gauges must be calibrated even when the temperature changes, and that is a pain in the ass IMO.

So is this MP non-mercury sync tool worth the money? Theya re similiar in price to the emgo gauges and quite frankly I'd choose Motion Pro over Emgo in terms of quality...

I bought one of the single vacuum gauges that look like that, probably 20.00 us dollars, and when i hooked it up to each of the carbs it went nuts, how does one of those work?

I had a set of the (new) motion crap synchs. One slight rev and air got into all the sight tubes and I couldnt get the air out. I threw them in the garbage.
Im going to order MERCURY for my REAL guages. Mecury is the very best Ive ever used, no bouncing guages, air in tubes or glitchy digital crap either.
Im still pissed off about those crap MotionPro blue glycol safe garbage.

You need to have damping by using a restricter (smaller diameter tube inline to your normal gauge hose close to the carb side). This will dampen the fluctuations.

As for the Motion Pro fluid type gauges, people here either love'm or hate'm. I have the Morgan carbtune which use a mechanical design and love them. And that seems to be the consensus with everyone here that has used them.

I dont see how my motion Pros sucked balls and your all happy with yours???? Oh well, Maybe I got the first experimental crap guages I have no idea. Gave it a slight rev to settle and air got in the tubes, turning the bleeder only moved the air bubble up or down, didnt help.

I have a set of old style K&L's and they have adjuster screws on the front. Not like the newer needle and seat style that are out now. I just hook them all up to the same carb 1 at a time and get them reading the same then I hook them up normally and do the sync. I've had them for a few years and used them on a few different bikes and have never had an issue with them.
