Early KZ1000 clutch basket in later 'J' case...

I've read that this is a good swap when building the later engines as it's a lot stronger than the later clutch basket.

Looking for some affirmation that what I've been reading is correct, WRT it being a drop in replacement. I'm building this old police engine on the cheap and don't want to spend the bux for APE or other aftermarket basket if the older one will do the trick.
