KZ 650 exhaust

This picture gives you a good look at the exhaust system coming out of the engine. My bike also has a crossover pipe that goes between both pipes.

Did I ever say how much I love red? It's a sweet looking ride. Maybe those in the know can asswer a question for me. I notice on the Ross's 78' pictured above, on the side covers it says KZ650 SR . On my 79' it just says 650 SR. Is that the way it is for all? what I mean is did they change that in between 78 & 79? Or just certain models or what? Just curious. I kinda like the KZ650 on there.

Thanks pumps, Don't really know much about the history on this bike. I was into cars more when these bikes were new. I have been looking around and cannot seem to find the any reproduction ones like mine. So I am thinking were only used one year. I could be wrong on this.

those look stock to me, on my 77650b, the head pipes are different, but the rest looks stock, and there is a cross over

My '78 also has the KZ650 SR side covers, must've been a one year thing. I never even noticed it before, good eye Pumps.
