I would really like to buy it individually, but I've only come across it for $90. Any sources I should check?

I assume that I need to use a new head gasket when replacing the head. I also assume that I need a new head when the PO knocked the bike over an chipped off 3 corners of the fins on the head. Or can I just ignore the broken fins and let it ride?

If you really need a head gasket you can usually get a complete top end gasket set for the 750 twin for around $25 on eBay.

More people chip in and tell me if wireman is correct. I won't hold you to it if my bike puts a hole in a piston, but I want a realistic answer. Three head fins missing on one side, chipped off at the coner, and only there. Whadaya think?

I would seriously doubt it will cause you any trouble, if its not overheating, ride on, wrench in the off season (if you have an off season)

I think that as long as it's only external damage, it won't make any noticable difference. With air flowing around the engine, it should be just fine.
