Sorry for your loss brother. I'm not much good with words , but I feel your pain, may he rest in peace....

A monster smoky burnout using your dad's bike each year on his birthday might be a fun tradition.  I suspect he would approve!  

 

My condolences to you and your family as well. And yes, I will think of him when I see DOHC.

I'm sorry for your loss DOHC.
You keep your dad in your thoughts and conversations. The pain fades in time but never the memories.

I echo all the replies above. At least you had a dad and an awesome one at that. I was lucky to have a Grandpa and a mentor Carl to teach me about being a man and the latter about construction. Bikes came from friends and learn by doing. Dads like yours always seemed to have time for young guys like me so I know the loss you must feel. He lives on in you and how you interact with others. He did well.

Nessism, I'm certain my dad would approve of monster smoky birthday burnouts.  His birthday is in the summer.  But truth be told I've never done a smoky burnout on any motorcycle.  I guess I'll need to start practicing.
