Yep- he be hurt! Took out spark plugs yesterday to see WTF happened on my ride on Wednesday- and pulled one smashed electrode sparkie out of #1 cylinder. Took a look inside- and you can see the valve hanging down in the bore.

Sooo, gonna order up a gasket kit, and swap on a good 1000cc top end on it if it is possible.

Betting you will find more damage than what a head swap will fix unless you are far more luckier than I would be if it happened to one of my rides.

I dropped a valve once dragging against a V65 Magna.
I had him good then pop,I had a three cylinder.
The valve spring broke, bent the valve and puched
the valve guide and surounding metal right up through
the head. The pistons (RC) were undamaged. We have ported
a few heads but none seemed to run like that one did.

If you were ahead of a V65, she sure wasn't stock LOL-

that being said- when I said top end- I mean, pistons, block, heads all off a KZ1000- in other words, from the case on up.

But I don't know- I will pull the head first just to be sure it ISN'T cheap-fixable!
