The Kawa Zephyr. A moderish repro of a Kz.
I'm restoring my 78 :P (thanks Retro RiceRocket rider and Gringo):) Kz650C.
But want a bike to ride in the meanwhile. AND I think my younger son really wants the KZ
He has been the one "pushing" me to get her running and has spent many hours with the steel wool polishing up the exhaust.

But where are they?? Graigslist is dry with older Kaws.
I remeber back when the LA riots were going on and I got a week off work
:woohoo: I met up with about three Zephyr riders in Angels Crest doing the same thing. And a older guy on a even older looking Triumph. DUDE! that guy could ride!

And for that matter where all all those old "standard" bikes that once flooded the recycler pages for $1.00 per CC?

Patience...and you mostly missed the boat on older Kawasaki's and Suzuki's...they will turn up, but not as often as they used to. Chances of you finding a Zephyr (either 1100 or 750) are pretty slim...they are even rarer than old Z's and KZ's:)

Edit: And you can expect to pay as much as US$2/cc for a decent KZ1000
