Just found out that the bike shop 1 mile form my house has a dyno machine. I bought a few batteries today and asked about it. They will do a hp/torque run for $25. WOOOHOOO!. They will do hp/tq plus air-fuel mix test for $40. I had my dynoed about 3 years ago when it was all stock so I am excited to see what it runs now.

That's cool, what kind of numbers are you looking for.

100hp would be great. It pulled 75hp last time. That was stock and only a few weeks after I got it running again after it sat for 15 years. I doubt it was tuned correctly either since I didn't know what the hell I was doing yet. Now it has 10.5:1 Yoshimura pistons, accel coils, dyna ignition, 34mm carbs with 145 mains, pods, Vance and Hines Sidewinder with open megaphone, 17in wheels (half the weight of the stock rims), lighter boxed swingarm, struts (no more heavy shocks), 530 chain, lightly ported and polished head and maybe more that I can't remember. I lost about 100 lbs by switching to the FZR front and rear end. The stock wheels, swingarm and shocks are heavy. Less weight plus the engine mods should get me close to 100hp. I have some cams for it but I want to see where it is now so I can see what affect the carbs have.

we had a shop here that part of his full tune up was to dyno tune the bikes, the guy did kick butt work, the sad thing, he retired and his kid could not keep up the same quality of work, he shut the place down

That's kind of what I thought. I paid $50 the first time. It was a huge dealership so maybe thats why. This is at a pretty small shop. I plan on getting some video of the run. It will be a few weeks though. I still have to set up a brake pedal to clear the sidewinder and also take about an inch out of my kickstand.

I think you are a little optimistic with your hope of 100 rwhp. I think probably 85-90 is about all you will see with stock displacement, cams, and head, compression increase alone is only good for 3-4 hp, pipe, ignition, and carbs, might get you another 8-10.
