I don't know about some of y'all, but i have quite a bit of KZ parts laying all about. Now i have to move out for school.

So i thought, i'll ebay some of my old kz crap that i don't need anymore. That'll clear up a lot of room. I figured i'd make a couple hundred dollars. So i post a few things.

And now my auctions are half through and i'm making about 400 dollars. I can't wait for the end. Has anyone else seen any inflation in kz parts on ebay?

I've yet to post any of my extra parts, I just now got my bike all finished up so I can take inventory on what's actually "extra". But I'm hoping that you're presenting a good omen and I can rake in a little extra scratch!!

Yeah, there does seem to be an inflationary trend for some KZ stuff...my feeling is that it is primarily for those items that are in the 900/1000/1100 class...seems that bikes in that range also seem to be selling better than past sales...

i just started selling again.i took a year off from e bay and my stuff is doing good. but it seams that for every 10 items you get 1 a--h---.but thats life:P

I've had good luck buying, but selling has been just short of disasterous. I sold a couple of grab bars two years ago. I got paid, but never received any feedback despite providing positive feedback to the buyer. The second item I sold was a rear rack which didn't fit my SR. A whole lot of drama ensued and I took a loss on that one too.

I've been reluctant to list anything else.

Maybe this was just a fluke but the other day I clicked on one of the pop up ads here linking to ebay for a KZ900 centerstand. I'd kind of like to have one for when I want to adjust the chain on my G-1. The sucker wound up bringing $90.99 and it was old and rusty and needed to be repainted. That's about 9 times more than I'd be prepared to spend but then I'm a bit like Steell.....Cheap

My theory is that it's seasonal...
people get bikes in the spring and find they need work. parts prices go up. They get frustrated in the fall and sell them...problem bikes get cheap. Guys who bought these bikes start parting them out in the winter. plenty of parts and no one wants to work in a cold garage so prices are good. Then it's spring again.

i personally made a killing last spring.
but took a big loss on a kerker header for a 1000.
i was late to ship and refunded his $10 to keep him happy. ($10 for a crome kerker? what was i thinking?)
i really need to start setting a reserve price.

there right. the 10001100 stuff i got went for good amounts but the 650 parts were not as profitable.
any given day i guess.
i bought two j-heads from the same seller two months apart.
one for $348, the other for $161.

ive had bad luck buying on ebay,stuff is never what its supposed to be.i dont buy anything anymore unless i see it up close first.i dont sell anything anymore,but ive been known to be pretty generous to friends in need;)

I've had great experiences with limited buying and selling on ebay. There are still deals to be had despite what some believe. Met some nice folks too...like the pilot who flew from Minnesota to Wisconsin to pick up a Vetter fairing I sold him on ebay. He brought his daughter and a lady friend along. Or the guy who drove up from South Chicago with his little girl to pick up the 900 pipes I sold awhile ago. And there's also a lady that emails me pictures of her deceased husbands 900 that she is fixing up to sell sometime soon.

I've had good luck (knock wood) selling KZ parts on Ebay. Offering items Worldwide really opened up the market and showed in increased number of bids and in $$$. Some parts went really cheap, if at all, but other parts got unreal amounts. You just never know which parts will end up being the big moneymaker. As with the parts from other models, I usually ended up with repeat buyers, especially from Europe, Australia and a vintage bike shop in Japan.
