Welcome to the forum Tim - your bike looks great, and very low mileage too:) Always remember to raise your kickstand before you ride away to avoid unpleasant and potentially dangerous pole vaulting the bike when you lean to the left:ohmy:

Great looking bike tim and a great bike to start out on. Also with a single cylinder and single carb you got less maintenence hassles and something easy to work on. I figue on the 250 you should be able to tool around at about 80kph all day.

Good luck and ride safe........which reminds me. if there is a motorcycle safety course in your area I recommend signing up. I rode for years then let my licence drop and then when I got back into bikes again a few years back did the course and wished I had done it years ago.

Welcome to KZr, Tim.

That's a great looking bike you've got there, and the perfect size for a starter bike! :)

As your giving it the "once over", you might also want to check the intake boot and manifold for vacuum leaks by spraying each one individually while the bike is running with carb cleaner - if the idle increases, there's a vacuum leak at that manifold or boot.
Judging from the color of the exhaust header, it appears that you just might have a vacuum leak (vacuum leak = a lean fuel condition).
