Hi guys I am new to this site because I am getting a 78 KZ1000 from a freind of mine but I am also getting a 82 KZ1100 parts bike I am going to take some parts of it like carbs,coil,shocks,brake parts and maybe the front end.but I am going to sell the rest 4 into 1 exhaust head mortor frame rear rim saft drive so if any body wants any thing let me know my name is Rudy and you can call me at 626-665-1263 and I will tell you what I have and if need be I can take pictures of them and send them to you just let me know and I will be needing help on getting my 78 KZ1000 going hope to hear from you guys soon thanks a bunch THE NEW GUY...

Welcome wm69! I could use some parts off that 78 kz1000 if you ever decide to come to parts with it. Where's the pics?? We need pics!

yeah,what he said!:whistle:the kz1100 is much better suited for southern california,78 kz1000s were designed to be run in nebraska so ya better get rid of it now before you put a lot of time and money into it,did i mention i live in nebraska? goodluck,happy wrenching!

EAZY fellas I want the KZ1000 but I am going to part the KZ1100 and I hear they are realy big in Nebraska the KZ1100 that is .Take Care everybody..
What I plan to do is putting the front end of the KZ1100 on the KZ1000 because it has the duel disk set up on it so I will probly sell the front end of the KZ1000 later along with the carbs that I mite use from the KZ1100.

Wagonmaster - welcome aboard! Have any pics of the exhaust from the 1100? What kind of turn signals do you have for her? How about the seat? Do you have a picture or two? And I heard that the KZ1000's are very popular in California......

I will be getting the bike in a week or two with pictures but I know the exaust is a chrome 4 into 1.

Yeah KevZ, the Kz1000's are popular here in Cali, but parts are real scarce in some areas. Sorry to bump in on your question.
