We live right at the top of the bad weather that crossed 4 states last night causing the tornados, it was crazy, I didn't get much sleep, but we are good.
The news that is coming out this morning is terrible, I hope everyone here is OK

Just rain here in SE Michigan last night. High winds today. Had to put the pump in the backyard. Minor inconvenience compared to some. Thoughts and prayers for those affected. 

 

Long-time member Roy-b-boy-b lives on a farm close to Mayfield, Ky. Mayfield is the county seat Graves County, Kentucky.

Mayfield took a direct hit from last night's tornadoes, resulting in an as-yet unknown number casualties and widespread damage. The historic county courthouse is very seriously damaged; the dome is simply gone. Many homes & businesses destroyed in town and the surrounding vicinity.

I spoke to Roy very early this morning. Roy, his wife and son are OK. He says their power is likely to be out for many days. His wife was volunteering at a nursing home when it hit. She laid on top of a man she was caring for to protect him from flying glass. Her car was totaled in the parking lot.

Roy didn't mention their livestock, so I'm hoping the animals are OK. Their son's local Guard unit has been activated to assist.

That's all we know at the moment.

Very heavy rain & high wind here at home overnight. The casualties and heavy damage here in KY was south & west of us.

I'm glad to hear Roy and this family are ok, they really got hit bad down there, cars can be replaced, loved ones can't, thank you for sharing that with us, I miss seeing Roy-b-boy-b around here, good to know he's still out there.
