Not a Z1/KZ, but I ran into a really good video the other day while looking for Kawasaki W1 information. It is the story of the resurrection of an old Triumph Salt Flat race bike, from getting it running after 30+ years and then returning to the Salt Flats to race again. A good portion of the video is an interview with another old racer who was a very good friend of Theo Ozen, the owner of the Sand Ghost, which was called the Nitro Express?, back in the day. I really enjoyed hearing the bike because it sounds a lot like the W1 I just resurrected and finally rode this week in my pasture for the first time. I need a little more practice with the right hand shift, left hand brake thing before I venture into any traffic! Also the shift pattern is 4 down as if the right side wasn't enough to wrap my little brain around.
