A while back, I signed up to get notices of city events and garage sales. Two weekends ago, I got a notice about a garage sale taking place this past weekend. It mentioned Honda motorcycles for sale. This peaked my interest so I made a point to go check it out. Got side tracked from a busy weekend but finally made it late Sunday morning. Saw no sign of any motorcycles other than a helmet or two. There was a young lady who was minding the sale. So I asked her about the motorcycle. She said, "Oh, that is long gone. Even before the sale started someone came and purchased it.". I asked her what kind of Honda it was. She said, "It was a 1978 Honda CB750K." I asked her if she wouldn't mind telling me for how much it sold. She said $850.00. She said it wasn't in too bad of shape and that it ran but needed a battery. She said an older gentleman who use to work at a motorcycle dealership as a mechanic bought it. So at least it went to a good home. I wish I would have been more proactive. Gotta hand it to the guy that bought it. Unlike myself, he didn't sit on his can and let fate decide on whether he got it or not.

LOL. Jack, Kawasaki people are nice too:-) The Honda CB750 is not be my first Honda choice . Always liked the styling of the CB400F Super Sport much better. But for the price, I would have made room for this one. I'm certain it would have been a good investment.. Although I don't buy bikes as investments, it is still nice to know that I wouldn't lose out if I decided to sell it down the road. I am always on the prowl for the local Z1 treasure to pop up. Lots of retires live here. Doubt such a thing exists though.

I was talking to a member here recently that is stock piling bikes , he called it his 401 K, I have too many projects on my plate already including the house and property which I consider our 401K
Still I always keep an eye out for something special, you never know, there are a lot of barns around here.
Thanks for sticking up for us Kawboys Joe,

When I was 14 my dad helped me get a 1962 Honda 50 in the spring of 64 and I can still picture after buying riding down main St feeling like I was at the top of the world..... a couple of friends of mine rode that thing all over the country side that year and it was one the best times of my life.
