Please keep East Tennessee in your thoughts and prayers, I am fortunate that I live 20 miles from all the Wildfires, Gatlinburg,{Pigeon Forge etc. Things are really hazardous right now.
Thank You

This really sucks my son lives and works in Gatlinburg but he made it through alright.
His house came close to burning but the road in front of it stopped the fire from reaching it.
The place he works at made it also so he still has his job but I do feel bad for all those that lost everything.

Still a few fires in the area but they have rain coming today so thats a blessing.

Glad to hear about the rain. I heard that in some areas the fire was smouldering deep enough on the soil and duff that it'll have to be watched closely for some time.
Any truth to that?

There is truth to that Bill....slow smoldering fire can also be found deep in tree trunks/root systems and can brust out even a month later
Be vigilant and hope all are safe in your neck of the woods.

If any of you guys are wanting to donate anything to help the folks in Gatlinburg
DO NOT donate to the Redcross or Salvation army from what my son told me they are taking all donation's to a
warehouse in Knowville and just adding them to the genaral fund then will bring back what they think is Gatlinburg's share.

If you do feel you would like to help in some way sent me a PM and I'll give you contact info. for Patrick and
he can give info on local org.'s so all help stays in Gatlinburg.
