MMMmmm...been a biologist/technician for several natural history museums, collections manager for several museums, a fisheries biologist for Florida, a fisheries biologist for Texas, a wildlife biologist for Guam, an instructor at a university, but am currently a curator for a medical university in Texas...been around or in academia for almost all of my adult life...I love schools...and Kawasaki's, and my wife and kids...not necessarily in that order :)

Wow. I'm a one-and-only.
Started life as a machinist/draftsman for a small mold-making plant. Moved to designer with them, then got fiddle feet.
I've been an industrial mechanic (auto component mfr.)
and worked for a half-dozen companies in management.
But now, I'm a Methodist minister in SW Kansas.
Go figure.;)

Currently I´m a service tech for Linak . Used to be an office machine tech, fixing fax machines, copiers and stuff, which eventually led me to work in the graphics industry at a printing/sign makers shop. After that I was a tech at Arepa before I had a small stint working for a landscaper which ended when I tipped over with a dumper and banged myself up pretty good. Throughout the past 30 some years I´ve also been a working musician (guitar player/singer) both professionally and semiprofessionally on the side.

Why? Your job is not important to someone? My car has tires and sometimes they need to be replaced. Do I/Can I do it myself? Nope. Someone at the tire shop does it. When I go in with bald tires I'm damn glad someone knows how to change them. Without them, I keep driving on bald tires and endangering my family. Ask everyone here, impressive title or not, and each one can tell you why their job sucks just as much they can tell you why their job is great.

I've been a Locksmith for 20 years. Family business my father started in '68.
I legally broke in to 2 places today!
I like being out and about, travelling from job to job. Helps the day go by quickly.
Get to see all kinds of houses, from big to small, and various shops, plants, Museums, Castles, Hospitals etc.

i'm just a lonely master auto tech for the largest tire company in the world.

Well, Kawasakiman, my dad was an auto mechanic for 50+ years and I kinda know what you're talking about. I turned wrenches in the bike biz for 3 or 4 years back in the early-mid 70's but then went in another direction.
I got into the purchasing field and ended up as the Manager, Purchasing & Logistics for a 75 person company manufacturing natural gas conversion equipment for vehicles. I got bought out of that job in 2001 and thought I was retired....but not so. I stopped in at the local bike wreckers/dismantlers in the spring of 2002 to get some bits.....and ended up as the office manager, which I've done ever since. Unfortunately, this job is seriously cutting into my riding time since we don't have the longest riding season in the world, up here in the Great White North. However, on the upside, I did get hold of my KZ650 this spring through my job, so I'm kind of conflicted about leaving the place and really retiring and spending ALL my time riding. Well, I WILL have to keep SWMBO happy from time to time.
I guess I could do that while I'm changing my oil or something.....multitasking, right ??!!??
