Hey gang,
I'm about to set off for the Socal ride but shot some pics of the new seat last night around sunset that I wanted to share. This is the fiberglass seatpan that was seen in this post tinyurl.com/ng3c5 .
The upholstery on the seatpan is a pro job to my design. It's wafer thin. Furthest I've gone with this seat is a 45 min freeway commute on crappy wavy concrete and that was fine. Mountain roads should be a lot more fun We'll see how I fare...
Check the gallery for a larger pic.

Great job man, definitely intersted to hear how comfy those longer rides will be though Maybe you need some foam butt pads to put in your pants or something

Well, I went on a longish ride (150 miles or so) this weekend and the seat was ok on the freeway and great in the twisties. The only reason I'm sore today is because I crashed on the way home(and yes, the seat is f***ed up too). I'll have it recovered but I have other things that need fixing first - starting with the front end.
Wagonmaster, I don't have a post on my wiring harness, sorry. I just looked at the wiring diagram *a lot* to figure it out. If you have specific questions post them in the electrical forum along with a wiring diagram for your bike and I'm sure some guru's will jump in (loudhvx comes to mind, but there's more).
