bobber...mounting rear fender
01 Sep 2006 20:10
I am in the process of mounting a sportster rear fender on my kz 750 twin. Does any one have any ideas on how to go about this or has done something similar? I don't want to mount it under the frame. I was thinking about cutting the rear frame about half way between the shock mount and the end of the frame and useing that section as the fender struts. The only problem I have is if I do that the fender will sit way too high above the tire. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

I mounted a fender on my twin,I drilled through the crossbrace thats just about to the rear where your battery is located, and used one stainless 1/4 20 bolt and rubber mounted it, in the rear I made a cross brace out of flatstock and used the tail piece mounts that were already on the frame, my frame was cut 4in behind the shock mounts
