fuel tank

The fuel tank I have is in horrid shape with a huge dent in it, pretty much unusable. I wanted to know if I should find a used one in decent shape(having a difficult time) thats not over priced for what it is, see about having a custon one made, or try to find one from another bike that i like and make it fit???

Any ideas/opinions????

AJ -- I just bought a fuel tank and body plastic
on eBay and should have tank, side covers and
ducktail available in a few weeks when the other ones
come in. Color is black, tank has a few little dings
but is really in pretty good shape. Side covers and
ducktail are also in good shape. They're still on
my '78 KZ-650 B2 and will be until replaced. Once they
are off the bike, I can make you a pretty good deal.
drop me an e-mail at duncan@bclibrary.org. Sorry,
I'll have to keep the petcock, but you can take yours
off your old tank. Let me know if you're interested.
