Getting a pro to paint
13 Aug 2006 19:38
Ok-
I've been practicing and I think I've been getting better but I decided to let a pro paint my baby.
I called around and got a guy in a car restoration shop that will paint the fairing, front fender, tank, side panels and tailpiece for $200 using PPG paints 4 coats color and 4 coats clear.
Does that sound like a good deal?

Considering the cost of paint, he's almost doing it for free.
I wish I knew someone that would paint for that price.

I paid $450 for my paint job. That was a guy who was in his second year of body and paint at Boise State. Go for it!

That's a great price. Do most paint jobs come with any warranty? Like maybe 3 months guarantee? I'd feel better knowing I'd have a nice paintjob last that long.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
