VHT or Epoxy?

Getting ready to repaint my engine.(Its out of the frame,completely assembled). I originally did a nice job with PJ1 but managed to spill petrol on it before I could start it up and cure it.Things went down hill from there and its been a complete mess since.
 I've been looking at VHT, that seems to be the popular choice but the curing process is a bit of a challenge (no faith in curing with the engine in frame anymore) and then I came across a 2 component,high temp epoxy engine paint which is a lot more expensive but doesn't need heat curing.
 So, I'm looking for opinions or ideas on which is the best way to go.If anyone has experience with the epoxy I would love to hear about it.

P.S. its understood that stripping the engine down,blasting and painting the individual parts is the best method and that prep is 90% of a good paint job and that proper PPE needs to be used.
 

The Cerekote I mentioned previously is “air dry” and fully cured after a week my motor hasn’t been run yet and has had petroleum and brake fluid spilt on it without issue

I was looking at that but the website is very complicated and unclear.It seems the base metal needs to be blasted and It doesn't seem to be for sale in an aerosol can. Am I wrong?

No you’re not wrong, it has to be applied with a spray gun to bare metal (blasted surface is ideal)

   Would the epoxy be thick enough to resist heat transfer & reduce cooling?
