Mistery Z400 bikini
25 Dec 2025 13:55
While doing my usual search for oldie kawi parts, this one popped up
Tried every way i know to find what model it comes from, no success!
It is advertized as a z400 1983-1985 faiinrg bit all the z400 i find are fairing less.
if anyone has a picture of a complete bike with it, post it please

Thanks man, never knew such doc existed
Went through it, nothing fits. the bikes with "bikinis" in the list are all square light
looks like a smaller version of the Z1R fairing....
found a few ads, all in europe, so maybe an euro model not so common

It's an aftermarket item.
Firms such as Pyramid Plastics and Mead Speed etc here in the UK used to make them in various styles along with bellypans etc for mainly 70's and 80's naked machines such as Zeds, GS's, LC's etc which never had them fitted from the factory. .
They came undrilled and usually supplied with a universal fitting kit or you had to devise your own way of mounting them.
Sellers of coach bolts, thin angle iron and metal strap did a roaring trade at the time .
The one in your pics has never been fitted as the lack of mounting holes can testify.

mmm.... you do have a point, i found three and two had no drillings for mounting or even the perspex screen holes, so yes, could be after market that somehow survived.....
only the white one has some cuts from installation..... so yours a good explanation
got to say: very nice after market parts, they have this typical kawasaki style of late 70's , z1r look, well executed.
thanks for the input!
