Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows whether there are any fuel tank alternatives for a kz250LTD. The fuel tank i have now is in bad condition and i'm considering a replacement, however its hard to find kz250 tanks where i live.

Thanks in advance

A KZ250LTD is a really rare bike, parts are long gone.
But Germany have some bikes for sale....
A KZ 200 tank could be an alternatve.....

Does anybody know whether a ltd440 tank would fit on the ltd250's frame?

Partzilla list part# as 51001-5308 and indicates you have to sign in to see price. There were several listed on ebay under that part#. I have not attempted to price out a tank but all of the prices on ebay were not what I would call cheap. With all of the 'tariff" things going on depending upon where the item is located it could increase the cost to purchase one.

I do not know if a 400 or 440 tank will fit the 250 or not. You might be able to make one fit, but I do not know that.

How bad of shape is your current tank, does it leak or have other issues?

An online search reveals that the 205 LTD has an 8-litre tank capacity. The 440 LTD has a 14-litre tank capacity. The frames are also different. Therefore, I doubt it would fit.
If you can't find one and feel like getting creative, lots of 8-litre fuel tanks are being made and sold in developing countries right now - can probably find one on Ebay. People must be buying them for cafe racers and other specials. Maybe you could find one with roughly the same dimensions as the original.

It might be cheaper to fix the one you have.
