Engine Paint Removal was created by Deon
Hello, i would like to remove the old paint and clean the engine which does not look too good at the moment. I would like to do this without removing and stripping down the whole engine. Can anyone recommend a good engine paint remover. I did see a post that said Strypeeze was very good but dont seem to be able to find anyone selling it at the moment.
Any help appreciated.

You may find it tricky to use paint stripper on the engine while it is installed without stripping paint from the surrounding area that you don't want to remove

Don't do it!
There is only 1 way to do it right.  disassemble & vapor blast or glass bead bare engine.
Maybe a portable vapor hone with baking soda kit from the Chi-Comm Tool Store by the Harbor?

And... Today there are no good chemicals for stripping paint! Unless your doing an HGTV project, stripping the latex paint off your wood moldings!

What you want to do? High Pressure Washer! Good degreaser! Scrub with Scotch pads & Brass Brushes! Compressed air! THEN REPEAT! Spray it down with fresh acetone or lacquer thinner, let flash off, more compressed air. Then spray away.

Should be able to keep the spray bomb paint on it for awhile!
