Mirror ball joint tightening possible?

Is it possible to tighten the ball joint on original khi mirrors? They are the rectangular Z1000j style with the black plastic moulded mirror housing and non removable glass so can't get to the innards.
Z1000J2 somewhat modified!

Adjust to your liking! Then drip some Green Loc-Tite wicking solution in and let set up. Permanent!
