Hey fellas what tanks can I use on my 78 KZ1000 LTD , I have a 75 Z1 900 tank but it doesn't seem to fit cleanly enough to use my LTD seat. What other options are there. Thanks

1977 - 1980 KZ1000B LTD tanks should fit without any modification.

I think the 900 tank looks way better, I've seen a few on the LTD's. Just get a bit of the clear film plastic that's used to protect tanks for things like tank bags if you are worried about the seat touching the tank...    Did you get the front end sorted ?  Something just doesn't look right with it...

Yes I did thanks the forks were way too high in the triple tree, had to actually ask for a hand to get them situated correctly, the big tank just isn't fitting correctly it is too wide and an inch too long at the bottom where it meets the seat.

Wow , I just asked a  question about difference of kz and ltd tanks on Facebook , I changed seats from a Ltd stepped seat to a flat kz 1000 seat and it’s a little short so from what your saying  when you put a kz tank it was a inch longer

Yes the 75 900 tank was a bit too long for my ltd seat, so I found a decent ltd tank. Fits perfectly. (Rewiring underway)

You can adjust the height of the tank by sliding the damper rubbers toward the rear. It will drop the tank. Might help it sit better to the seat.
