Hi all. I have a 1982 KZ50Ltd which has been imported into the UK. It is in need of a paint job. I am looking for Luminous Passion Red , I have been quoted by RS paints £109 for one litre plus £69 a lite for base coat paint. Does anyone know any other companys that will supply kawi paint?

How does that pricing compare to paint from an auto paint store?

For reference there's a vintage motorcycle paint seller on EB whose pricing is higher than RS.
Not the correct color, but he sells a candy red plus silver base coat for $266, plus you have to clear coat it (not included). PPG DBC paint.
A motorcycle paint seller may have to charge more because of lower volume plus some places took the time/effort/expense to come up with correct colors. or at least a close approximation. It can be hard to get an exact match. the Z1R silver comes to mind.

RS paints is water based and hideous to use unless you have very good equipement. The company that supplies RS paints is GB refinishers and will supply at about half the price of RS. They are in dartford kent but are not the easiest to deal with. They will supply the same paint as solvent based if you tell them that it is vintage vehicle application.
