I've got a 79' D-2 that I am converting to a race/track bike. The seat that is on the bike is not factory it is a cafe style single seat attached to a cowling that the previous owner mounted to the seat pan to be able to mount to the frame. I am in need of a seat that is factory or similar that is full length of the seat pan, preferable one that is straight like the one below. If anyone knows the seat that is below that would be fantastic.

The rear of the KZ650SR frame is unique to that model.
I've had three SRs and currently have a '78B1.
I don't remember if the hinges even match up to the B and C models.

It's interesting that your bike has the kz650 rear duck bill tail cowl. The SR did not. It just had a chrome fender behind the seat.
Are you certain the rear of your frame is still from the SR? Maybe post some photos of the frame under the seat, as well as the underside of the seat pan, and maybe someone can confirm it's still correct for the SR.

I believe they make their own seat pans. Others on this forum have purchased from them and said they are decent quality seats.

I have not picked up the bike yet, but I had my friend send me a photo. This is the subframe and frame without the cowl obviously. Looking at it, from what you said it is the SR sub frame with the undertail as opposed to the duck bill you mention. It seems I will have to do some modifying to get this style tail.

The SR rear fenders are painted.

Oops. That's right. And stubby. But still, no duck bill.

To the best of my knowledge these are the stock seat interchange for the (K)Z650s.
