Question for the experts: does a 1973 Z1-900 fuel tank fit a 1978 KZ-1000 LTD?

I have one on my 78 ltd. not as bulbous as a kz seems more sleek but holds more gas than an ltd tank. KZ decals probably wont fit, I had my pinstripes Painted on,and are much nicer. And you will have to use a z1 fuel cap

Thank you for the quick reply. I was more concerned with frame compatibility, if it fits without too much hassle modifying the frame. If you have one in yours, I am guessing it means it does fit.

I have a Z1 tank (73-75, not sure of the year) on my 78 LTD. No frame modifications needed.

‘99 ZRX1100, ‘05 DRZ400S, ‘78 KZ1000LTD, ‘12 F150 (Ford)

A long time ago I put my brothers 1974 Z1`s Tank and seat on my 1979 LTD, because I was riding to the west coast. The only hitch was I had to get creative with the fuel line. It seems the petcock location was differant, and space was tight. if I remember right...I made a large loop with the fuel line , so it wouldnt kink.
