KZ750N has 3-4 pinholes. was created by JohnLuke
So I just found out that my 750 has pinholes in the tank. It doesn’t appear to be super rushed put I plan to fill the holes clean the tank then use some sort of coating.
Does anyone know what is the best way to fill the pinholes?
Thanks!

Where are the pin holes located,(pics)?
You can solder and fill the holes with tin or coating the tank with POR15 which will do a sealing layer over upcoming pinholes.

I had a tank like that and used Caswell's epoxy sealer after derusting. Caswell's is super thick and reinforces the metal nicely on tanks with rust and thin metal. I started off by soldering all pin holes but during the derusting process more pin holes appeared and I got sick of breaking out the torch so I switched over to sealing them with epoxy on the outside after that.

About an inch from the bottom on the left side.
It also leaks from the emblem on the right. I’m gonna check it tomorrow.

Here are the 3 holes. I have access to a Lincoln flux core welder. Could I clean up the area and then tack it the sand it off? No matter what I’m probably gonna red coat it.

There are probably several good coatings available, but preparation is the key. I would do additional tank prep prior to whatever prep chemicals a kit would have & I would probably use the stuff from Caswell or the KBS coating or West Systems epoxy.
