Cowling z750 GT same as eddie lawson replica cowling?

Hi all,

I saw a cowling from a z750 GT from 1982 for sale. I was wondering if this is the same cowling that the eddie lawson replica uses? It seems very similar. I would use it for my z1000J.

Ok, apparently z750GT is the Z750 R1 GPZ?

When I check parts on cmsnl they are similar except for the mounts, but guessing this is a detail because it's only the last letter which is different.

Isn't a GT 750 a shaft drive model? I wouldn't assume the fairing is the same. It might be the same, but it might not also.

The KZ750-R1 has the same fairing as the KZ1100-B GPz, and the windshield for them is the same as the KZ1000-R ELR.

There are 2 fairing part numbers listed for the ELR.
One of them has the same base part number as the KZ50-R1, but it has a different color designation, so it may be the same otherwise.

KZ1000-R ELR >> COWLING,L.GREEN >> 55028-5011-7F

Ok, but if the GT model is cosmetically the same as the R1 it should be the same. And the fairing looks pretty much exactly the same except that its a brown color.

I didn't doubt too much anymore.. Bought it to be sure since they are hard to find and because I knew this one was going to be gone fast! I'll probably get it by the end of next week somewhere. I'll upload a picture of it when I get it.

Like I said, they may be the same. The point of the reply is that, lacking a definitive answer, you should compare as many part numbers on as many models as possible, then make an educated guess.
