I`m gonne share my engine (take of the top for honing sylinders and overhaul the top), my plan was to sodaplast the whole engine before I start to divide the engine, good plan?

And when I`m finish rebuild the engine the plan was to paint it, but how should I prepare the engine before painting ?
Clean it with fat remover and dry it?

Is the order of doing things okay ?

Painting the engine after assembly is the easy way. All the bolt heads will get painted though. The factory look involves painting before building the engine but that's a lot more work. Each piece needs to be carefully masked before paint. That's what I do.

Prior to paint/engine building washing all the parts in soap and water is advised. This gets all the dust and grit off.
