kz1000 side covers on a 900ltd was created by JDRAKE4200
Ok guys. I need your help. I have a 1976 kz900 ltd. I have bought KZ1000 side covers as I am switching them over. (want to keep the originals put away as they are hard o get and don't want to lose them.) I need to see how the right side mounts. Specifically, the bottom tab on the right side. Has someone already done this conversion? If so, can someone please explain to me how they did it? Can someone please post a pic of where the bottom tab clips into? Please help. I what to get this sorted before I send my tins out for paint.

Id think just looking at it would be a good answer.Find a picture of a 1000 and let your imagination lead you. then if it doesn't fit, Its wrong. They are 2 different battery boxes so a strip of metal and a vice and welder for spot welds would probably be in order, Happy tinkering!!!! Keep a cool tool. Left lower mount 78 1000 b2

I like to think of it as a thing to do,but in your case it sounds like you'll want to undo it too

I modified my left cover grommet for an AGM battery not rocket science and battery brackets are readily available for my 76 9er Im sure you can do it with cardboard just be sure of how far out the stock setup for the bottom of side covers are symmetrical happy inventing  .
