Anyone know where to find replacement side covers for the 82+ police k1000? They don't have to be painted, but wondering if anyone is re-popping them.

You can probably use the side covers from any 1000-P model from 82-2005. From the diagrams at Partzilla the 82-2001 have the same part numbers, but the later ones will probably fit & are probably just painted differently or maybe have different stripes or something cosmetic like that. I often times double-check part numbers at Kawasaki.com, in case the x-ref is incorrect.

There are several listed on eebbaayy, but most of them are priced kinda high.
search = KZ1000 police side covers. other terms: KZ1000P. side cover. P1. P24. Px where x = a number between 1 & 24.

From Partzilla for the 82 KZ1000-P1.
