$1,000 minimum! Too many chemicals and products. Plus wash lacquer thinner is up to $75 bucks a barrel! 5 Gal.
It's tuff nowadays! I won't even paint no body's stuff unless close friend or my own!
Here is a little mini bike for my grand daughter I'd have to charge $250-$300! Plus I had the blue paint from another job.
Plus I cleared over the water decals for the original techumsah engine. They were $15.00 for the 3 of them.
Took me 3 days to do this little work!
You pay for what you get!

Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!

4 years ago I wanted to do the same paint job. I bought the decals and sent everything to a local hot rod painter. He couldn't work with the decals - said they were crap - so he painted the stripes on. It came out looking great and he charged me $800.00. Now if I can only get off my a$$ and put the bike together.....
I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

I am being quoted $1200 and I am painting in the stripes and using Jaguar Racing Green for personal reasons which is f'n expensive. It was going to cost me like $800 in materials, so.....the painter is getting the nod!
