Hello All, joined here a little while back as it looks like a great resource for all things Z related - very impressive forum.
I have a 1981 Z1000J1 (European) which I've owned from new. It's time for a rebuild and I'm researching a cafe racer theme. The angular fuel tank on my euro model doesn't really work with that idea (imo anyway) so I'm wondering if anyone knows if the KZ1000P tank will go on to the J frame (the US version of the J1 came standard with a rounded profile tank but they don't seem to be readily available). There do seem to be a few P tanks around. One difference is the rear mounting which appears to be bolted but I'm more concerned with the underside shape and forward mountings. Any advice much appreciated - thanks.
