Adapting a 650 duck tail to a KZP was created by HBKwaka
I found a good deal on a 650 ducktail and now want to adapt it to my KZP. I honestly have no idea how it went on a 650. Are there any diagrams or pics available? TIA

There are 4 mounting points for the KZ650 tail; two are vertical (under the seat) and two are horizontal (under the tail). The first image below shows where they are on the bike (circled in yellow). Each of these mounting points uses a bolt, collar, and rubber grommet along with a flat washer and split washer. The second image below shows a tail on eBay that has the collars and rubber grommets installed (circled in yellow). The ones shown are the vertical ones that go under the seat. The horizontal ones under the tail use the same type bolts, washers, collars, and grommets. Ed

If you have a junk yard nearby, or know someone with an untitled frame, see if you can get the rear hoop and use the brackets off that. I cut this one off a 78' 650 B that had no title, had not run in decades and was only good for parts anyways. This was also adapted to a GPz frame for a ducktail...
