My rims were in very rough shape. I researched the forum and came with a couple of posts, one in favor of paint stripper the other regretting using it. Anyway I decided to give it a shot and got some Aircraft Paint Remover, apply it and pressure washed the rim. It came out pretty well.
After that I sanded the edge with 220 grit and paint it with satin black Duplicolor Wheel Coating.
