Just pick up a 1976 KZ900LTD. On the gas tank under the filler lid is a faded square. Was there a safety decal from factory there?

A decal over paint usually protects the Candy red paint from getting sun fade. Post a picture of the fade. Kawasaki did not put safety labels on tanks like Honda did. Is it original Factory paint?

I was lucky enough to be able to buy a '76 LTD when I was 21. Kawasaki sent you a small gold hard plaque with your name on it to put on the tank. I still have mine but that bike was stolen in '78. Since then I picked up another '76 in the mid 80's which I still have.
