New Single Seat Mod kz650
14 Jul 2013 21:25 - 14 Jul 2013 22:38
Here is my new seat. I wanted to bring the rear-end in about 4"-6" while still keeping the tail. So i modded up this single seat using some the old seat's foam and cover. Not bad for my first time dealing with upholstery!

I'm a big fan of the stock seat, but I must say you did a great job on that one. It looks like it belongs on the bike. Very nice work. Ed

Thank you everyone!
It felt weird at first because the new seat is about 3" lower than the stock one, so sitting alot lower brought my knees up. I hope it is durable enough to last awhile, i did not have the best tools and hand stitched the new vinyl.
Sorry, not interested. This one took way too long. lol
I can post more pics from the build if you'd like. I only spent $40 at most, but i did recycle alot of parts from the original seat.

Very nice!
Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.
