Got a nEw cover. The chrome one that goes over the seat latch.

the piece of the spring that goes across slides into the slot then you crimp the post closed on it.
kinda cheezy,but thats how all the ones i've seen were.

Thanks, it's been about three years in the making. Almost done. Couple more weeks and I'll have her runnin. I'll post more picks when I have her rebirthday party.

What we're the names of the engineers Who designed that one? I'd like to meet them so I can tell them how stupid they are.
Nearly impossible. You have to turn the spring, hold it down in the slot, then crimp it close with only two hands. Geez. :blink:
