KZ650 Tail

Is the KZ650 tail a direct bolt on onto the 1981 KZ750 four Non-Ltd? I don't like the look of the boxy KZ750 tail and want somthing smoother like a ZR750/1100 tail on it but don't have any experience with fiberglass and such.

Not sure about your bike but I added a 900 tail to my '80 750LTD (thinking about changing to a 650 tail). I sent a few pix of how I made a bracket out of 1" angle iron and I had to cut and shape a seat-pan. Hope this helps. I know for sure a KZ650 tail will not bolt to a KZ750E. To me the KZ750E which tail looks like the KZ1000MKII or ST is the best looking tail ever. I'd leave it alone.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I like the look of the tail overall, but I'm just a sucker for the Zephyr looking tail. I'd love to get that on mine somehow.
