Z1 Cooling Fins Paint & Polish

So what is correct on the Z1, polished on the sides only or polished on the front and sides only or front, back and sides?

I've just seen so many variations I not sure what is correct.

My early 73 has it done all the way around on cylinder and block,not sure if its original though half the paint is worn/burned off.
that's the same way Ive always done my motors filing/block sanding all the fins on cylinder and head all the way around,though I rarely paint them because I cant find paint that will stay on. :sick: :laugh:
