Bent Tank Emblems

Hello,
Been thinking about swapping this old banged up tank with a newer one have found. I need to transfer the tank emblems but one at least is bent a bit out of shape. Is there a good way to bent them back in shape somewhat? Heat Gun? I know they're cheap on Ebay, but I would like to try and see if I can do it right by myself.

If they are aluminum, can't you just bend them back? I'd probably put some good auto painter's tape on the emblem area of the tank to protect the paint, then bend them to the shape of the tank.
