Don't have 'em. Need 'em. Where to find 'em?

Remembered I'm going to need the doodads that secure the side cover badges onto the side covers. Looked on Kawasaki.com, but they aren't labelled or listed.

Little help?

Most any of the Auto Stores that have clips and fasteners for body work will have them, cheap I'm sure. Ace Hardware may even have them, as they have several different fasteners. They are just a washer with multiple fingers in the middle, so it grabs the stud when you push it on. Or you can get some Plastic nuts that will self thread onto the small studs/ posts of the emblems.

Do you have an ACE Hardware? They have them there. They are called crush nuts. They do have grommets that will work also.

If the pins arent long enough to get the nuts on them try a little dab of silicone on back side of emblems before pushing them in B)

Skyman posted that he cut threads on the studs, then installed some nylon lock nuts or something. So that's what I did & added a dollop of silicone caulk to make sure the nuts stay in place. Doing so makes emblem removal much easier for the next time.

As usual you guys are awesome.
I have a question though, aren't the studs plastic? What would I use to cut threads on them without mangling the little suckers?

Just took another look at them. They're cold like metal, but seriously light, and the back seems too shiny to be aluminum.
I don't have the best sensation in my hands anymore. Too many years in kitchens and slapping around Kempo pads. Sometimes it's tough for me to feel stuff and judge small weights.
But the emblems are NOS and I'm guessing yours are also original. So if yours are metal then mine should be too.
How did you cut the threads onto something that tiny Martin?

Thanks Kidkawie. Those look perfect! I'm not going to snap the studs with those if I need to take them off, or have you tried it yet?
