'73 Z1 Headlight Shell Paint?

I'm finally at the build stage of my Z1 rebuild with one last piece to paint.
It's an aftermarket part and it came with a very dull finish, almost looks like primer.

Should the headlight shell be painted in a gloss or satin type finish on a '73 Z1?

I think all the shells were a satin finish. You may want to do a test piece using Krylon Ultra Flat Black.
