Airbox cap cracked. What type of plastic?

1981 KZ650-CSR w stock airbox.

Anybody know what type of plastic the airbox cap is?
I've got a spare that's cracked & would like to repair it.

Instead of glue, how about a plastic welder? I've used the cheap kit at Harbor Freight with good success. Cost is about $14-15, depending, cheaper on sale or with one of the 20% off coupons. It is basically a wide foot soldering iron, and melts both the filler and the parent, blending the two. I fixed a lot of plastic on the Concours I bought with this kit. Its a lot stronger than glue.

Melting the parts together with a solder iron usually works great for me.

Martin, the lid should be ABS. I believe that all the other plastic parts on the bike are ABS. I know that I successfully plastic welded my side covers and tail with very good results. Still going strong over a year and a half later.
